But the people didn't disperse. We continued to stand like a wall, chanting. Then the tanks began their work. They pushed us away from the tower. Our first row got closer to the light tanks to make more space for people to withdraw so they wouldn't be killed.
Then a shock troop broke into the tower and destroyed everything that got in their way. We could hear shooting in the tower the whole time that we were in the square.
