We joined hands and sang. When the tanks began to surround the tower, they began to throw “checkers". I shouted to a paratrooper: “Murderers!" He lifted his gun to strike me. Luckily, I had time to cover my head. But the man standing next to me got hit instead, and his face was immediately covered with blood. I watched as a paratrooper rushed over to a window and began to break the glass with the butt of his gun. Somebody quickly opened the door from inside and shot water at him.
