... When the murderers broke into the tower we started withdrawing. As we moved back, we got stuck between the tanks. Then the fourth tank opened fire. People fell to the ground. My left ear and right leg were injured. I saw wounded people being carried away. One was pulled out from under the tracks of a tank. I still heard individual gunshots for about half an hour after I had left the tower grounds. On Cosmonaut Prospect, a crowd of people had surrounded a tank. It was turning around in place, but didn't dare to drive into the crowd. The tank was held back like that for about an hour.
