... They were trying to move everyone from the square onto Sudervės Street by shooting and cursing vulgarly. They were beating people with iron sticks and gun butts, and were firing series of gun shots at their feet. On the right side (closer to Žvaigždžių Street) I saw them fire short series at the people as well. 6 or 8 other people and I were close to a tank when it fired a blank. I was hurled to the ground by the impact, and the right side of my face and back were burnt by gun powder. After that, my face and back bled in a lot of places.
