Armored vehicles arrived the night before the Press House was attacked. We turned on the air-raid siren and a lot of people gathered. The vehicles withdrew. Early in the morning they passed through again. Maybe they were trying to scare us...

The attack took place that day. I was on duty at the control panel at the time. When I heard that we'd been surrounded, I ran downstairs. We didn't have any weapons - only a fire hose. Grabbing it, I climbed onto the awning over the main entrance. I saw the soldiers get out of the tank, talk something over, and move towards the building. Corning closer, they began pushing everybody and forcing the door. One of them positioned his sub-machine gun on a man's chest. Then I aimed the water directly at the soldiers. They shot at me and hit me in the head. I fell down, unconscious. Later I regained consciousness, and climbing down, got into the ambulance myself...
